why are young players and role players on good teams so overrated?
when vince carter, allen iverson, stephon marbury, steve francis, paul pierce, ray allen, kobe bryant, shareef abdur-rahim, and dirk nowitzki were young, everybody was raving about how good they were and are gonna be. heck even larry hughes, jerry stackhouse, antoine walker, raef lafrentz, bonzi wells, damon stoudamire, tim thomas, and glenn robinson got a lot of props. but as they grow older, people start to criticize their games and their characters while overhyping the young players who are obviously flawed.
these new guys are useless. their teams play better without them.
kevin durant: thunders play so much better and more team-oriented without him.
greg oden: blazers are better off with przybilla (himself a draft bust)
carmelo anthony: denver actually played better without him. heck, they played better with allen iverson instead of him.
devin harris: ballhog, not a good point guard, not a leader, not a winner. j-kidd is still better than him.
luol deng: the bulls are retarded for giving him a hefty contract extension. the lakers were retarded for discussing trading kobe bryant for him. luckily for them, the bulls are even dumber for rejecting the proposed trade.
andrew bynum: a good stretch last year made him the "next-big-thing". been mediocre when he plays ever since. slightly better than andrew bogut. the lakers are actually better without him.
danny granger: another high-scoring swingman who doesn't improve his team
nate robinson: he has hops and he thrives under d'antoni's system. big deal. leandro barbosa is better than him.
lamarcus aldridge: one of the worst rebounding big. i see another eddy curry in the making
al horford: 10-10 for a #3 overall pick who has limited upside. he will be a bust
yi jianlian: evidence why david stern is kissing chinese @ss at the expense of american fans.
derrick rose: he's good but he's no chris paul or even deron williams
o.j. mayo/eric gordon: good shooter but doesn't do much else
derek fisher: overpaid, inconsistent, old
pau gasol: he was a joke when memphis made him the franchise player. now, he's god just because he plays for the lakers
